Working Hours: 8 hours per week (possiblitiy of additional hours)

Rate of Pay:       £23, 232 (FTE based on 35 hours per week pro rata)

This post is a fixed term sessional contract (in school term time only) from August - June 2016

We hope to continue this post beyond this date; subject to funding and satisfactory performance.

The election campaigns are in full swing and we are begining to find out what each of the political Parties will put in their manifestos.  This Thursday you will have your chance to put your questions to candidates for Edinburgh West.  They will be answering questions from 6.30 till 8pm at Muirhouse Community Centre. 

Soup will be available from 6pm. 

Meal Makers Cooking Group

Do you want to learn more about ways to eat more healthily, improve your cooking skills and try your hand at making delicious new recipes?

Then come along to our new block of Meal Makers cooking classes, starting every Tuesday 10am-12 noon from May 5th.

At the classes you will be able to cook, taste and take home tasty and nutritious budget friendly meals for yourself or your family.

Good Food for All - report from the conference

We are now launching the report from the Good Food for All event we held in December. 

The event was attended by 40 local residents and workers and was an opportunity to look at the extent of food poverty in the area and what needs to change to tackle it.

Do you shout at the television when the politicians are on telling us what they are going to do for us if we vote for them?  Campaigning for the Westminster elections on May 7th has started already and its time to start finding out about what the parties really stand for.

Come along and ask candidates the questions that matter to you.  We'll be holding hustings in each of the two constituencies in the area.
