You may be aware that we organised 3 discussion sessions to discuss what a Fairer, Healthier would look like, in response to Scottish Government initiated consultation. Many thanks to all that attended the meetings. There was good healthy debate and we recorded what you told us.
Would you like to: •Understand and discuss the fundamental aspects of the Equality Act 2010? And be able examine your responsibilities relating to it? •Increase your understanding of issues facing minority ethnic groups in the area? •Learn how to talk about controversial issues and dispel the myths about immigration ?
The Scottish Government want to know what we think would make Scotland Fairer and Healthier. Like many other organisations in the area we want to hear what you have to say so we can pass it on to them. To this end we are organising two discussion sessions.
The first will take place at Muirhouse Community Centre on Thursday 15th Ocotber from 7 till 9 pm. Free refreshments.
The Scottish Government are asking people to tell them how to make Scotland a Fairer and Healthier place. They are developing a vision and plan for a better Scotland by 2030. You can read more and contribute via these blog sites.
