Hidden Gems Walks Every Thursday 1st June-3rd August

Continuing the successful Hidden Gem walks around North Edinburgh we are revisiting ten of our best walks discovering the surprises that North Edinburgh’s offers. Even if you have lived in the area all your life you will be sure to learn something about your local area in these walks. Local experts will be coming to many of the walks to give information about the area, its special places and people.

Walk/Jog Club

Wednesday 29th March at 6:38pm

The club is run by volunteers it is free of charge.  
We leave Monday 6.30pm from the Spartans entrance.
The walk/ jog usually lasts an hour
We recommend you wear trainers and loose clothing.
If you feel you need water please bring your own.
If you need to leave anything you can leave things in locker room at the Spartans. It will be locked.

Counselling & WSW Waiting lists

Please, note, that the waiting lists for our adult counselling service is currently closed.

The waiting list for all Women Supporting Women activities is also closed.  The Women Supporting Women monthly drop in on the first Friday of every month will continue to run as normal.

PCHP at the Stand Comedy Club

A night out, a good laugh and a worthy cause. What's not to like about that? Following on from the success of our race night in 2016, our next fundraising event is at the Stand Comedy club on 18th April 2017.. Keir McAllister, Gareth Waugh, Gareth Mutch, Phil O'Shea and host Susan Morrison will be entertaining us for the evening. The doors open at 19.30 and the show will go up at 20.30.

Women Supporting Women family mid-term activities

A wonderful mid-term break last week, full of laughter, fun and getting to know each other. Women Supporting Women put on a programme of activities last week for families. We went to the Edible Garden Project at the Botanics, had a tour and animal cuddling session by volunteers at Gorgie Farm, made pancakes with our wonderful Food Project at PCHP and watched a movie at North Edinburgh Arts. Thanks to everyone for such a lovey week!

Cooking the basics sessions

Learn lots of basic cooking skills and ways to make simple, nutritious meals on a budget.

Come along to our new block of Cooking The Basics sessions, running over 5 weeks from Thursday, February the 23rd to Thursday the 23rd of March.
 

Women Supporting Women drop-in

We will be cooking up a storm this Friday  3rd February from 10 am at our Women Supporting Women monthly drop-in, making salsa and other delicious dips. First healthy snacks masterclass

Today 13 local workers and volunteers enjoyed the first healthy snacks training session.

We had lots of interesting discussions about ingredients and challenges in creating healthy snacks for young people.

We've learned to make and plate up lots of colourful, tasty and nutritious snacks. 

The second session will take place on Thursday the 9th of February 11am-1.30pm
