It was with great sadness that we heard about the death of Roberta Blaikie.
The Health Project wouldn't be here without her and others like her. We owe her a great debt.
Many of us working here had the privilege of meeting her. She was always cheerful and put across her message with sincerity and kindness.
Another local activist told me she had been inspired by Roberta -'she always encouraged me to speak up'.
I'm not going to try and sum up her contribution to the area - she was very generous with her time and knowledge when the Project celebrated its 25th Birthday. She was still in contact with many of the people she had worked with here. Without her we would never have rediscovered the Project's history. So, in tribute, and with the greatest respect, here she is speaking about the Health Hut.
